CREATE
NEW VARIANT
CAPTURE YOUR SCENE AT THE PERFECT MOMENTS
—
CREATE
NEW VARIANT
When you create a new variant, the add-on takes a snapshot of your current scene. That snapshot becomes a dedicated design state you can return to at any time. Creating a variant is like freezing your scene at a perfect moment in your design process. You can experiment freely, knowing you can always return to that exact setup.
What’s captured:
Object transforms & parenting
Objects & collections visibility
Materials (ID, stack order & mesh faces)
Modifiers (with visibility flags)
Objects & data animations
Curves & curve profiles
Geometry Nodes configurations
Camera settings (lens, DOF, sensor size)
Particle systems (with visibility flags)
Custom properties (even on complex rigs)
And more
Ideal for:
Building CMF proposals
Managing trim levels
Capturing colorways
Saving camera positions
Storing lighting setups
Recording styling proposals

HOW TO
CAPTURE?
Creating a new variant is a one-click operation. Easy, intuitive and instant.
From the VARIANTS LIST panel, simply click on “NEW VARIANT” to capture the current scene.
WITH
ANIMATIONS
If you want to capture animations alongside the rest, enable “Include Animations” before committing. This option determines whether a variant will also store animations from the current scene — such as camera motion, animated material properties, object transforms, and lighting changes. Use this when your design variations involve motion.
Camera flythrough versions
Animated turntables with different looks
Light rig animations
Variant-specific motion studies
Presentation-ready animated sequences
Note:
Enabled by default.
WITHOUT
ANIMATIONS
If you don’t need animation in your new variant, or want to fush animations from an existing variant, simply keep it off for a cleaner, lighter workflow.
If the selected object is animated and the toggle is off, it means you are about to flush its animations from the variant.
Note:
When “Include Animations” is OFF, no animation data will be stored when creating a new variant, or when updating or resaving an existing variant.
