PANIS BLUE

The PANIS RACING blue was used as a main color, in satin-metallic finish. It flows through the entire car the same way that out of 24 hours of racing, most of it is during day time. The obvious inspiration for the design comes from a simple idea: the 24 Hours race is never linear and is always punctuated with twists and unexpected outcomes by ways of overtakings, incidents, race strategies etc.

TECH1 ORANGE

The TECH-1 orange, in metallic chrome finish, on the other hand, is an accent color visually linking all the graphics together. It celebrates the key components and features of the car such as the roof air intake, the center rear blade, the side number plate & position marker. It mimics the sun hitting the race track at dawn and sunset during the race.

Design Process

The base is a highly detailed 3D model that is made to be as close as possible from the actual LMP2 car. The preliminary design was directly hand-crafted onto the 3D model in order to get the graphics to flow correctly with the volumes. A meticulous task that allows each part of the graphics to reflect exactly the intended visual effect. The digital images were then used by the Racing Team and its partner HEXIS GRAPHICS to wrap the car with their latest films on the LMP2 prior to the race in June 2022.
